A CUP OF COFFEE that once lived in a household loved literature, and every time a new book fell into her hands, she devoured it within a single night. "How could that even be possible?", the silverware of the household asked her, and wondered whether she really read it or just flipped through the pages.
One day, they thought of putting her on a trial: they gave her a really big book as a gift, which she would definitely have a really hard time finishing within a single night. To make sure she would not play any tricks on them, they ripped some of the pages off from the final chapter so as to ask her what the ending of the story was. So it happened. They went to the bookstore, and after scanning all the shelves, they found a book that was as thick as a brick. As soon as they were back home, they carefully removed the book’s last pages and gave it to the cup. So excited did she get, that she barely noticed. "Thank you, I'll finish it today and let you know!", she told them, sat comfortably on her chair and started reading. "Let's hide in a corner and check on her", the silverware said. Τhey then hid behind chairs and sofas and watched the cup as she became absorbed in her task. Many hours passed, and they fell asleep. When they woke up the next day, they saw the cup sitting comfortably at her desk and writing non-stop. "Did you like the book's ending?", they asked curiously. "Some of the pages were unfortunately missing from the last chapter", she replied. "So much did I like what I read, however, that I dreamt of my own ending in my sleep, and thought of putting it on paper", told them the cup, then opened the book and glued the pages she had just written at the end. The silverware got so excited that one after another they took the book and read it non-stop as well, and our good cup couldn’t help but feel proud of inspiring them. Rumor has it, that many years later our good cup became a famous writer, and that all her books became bestsellers....
